Snow-capped winter village, musical lights show, cookie decorating and more to look forward to this season
It’s that time of the year when snow falls in Bahrain, and families can experience a magical winter at City Centre Bahrain ’s Winter Wonderland village. A highly-anticipated and much-loved community event, this year City Centre Bahrain is introducing some new surprises. Winter Wonderland runs throughout the month of December, and as part of the campaign, shoppers stand the chance to win the grand prize – a BD15,000 fashion wardrobe!
Giant igloo, hanging snowflakes, and larger than life winter characterswill be featured this year at City Centre Bahrain ’s snow-capped winter village. Kids will get the opportunity to feel snow melt in their hands, while winter roaming penguin, polar bear and snowman mascots interact with visitors and pose for memorable photo opportunities. Some exciting new elements will unveil at this year’s Winter Wonderland including miniature moving trains and a spectacular light show every night in ‘Symphony of Lights’, a first-of-its-kind show which will illuminate the winter village, while choreographed to music.
For the fashion savvy, City Centre Bahrain will also put on a fashion display in the Central Galleria with a showcase of the season’s latest trends. For those looking to update their winter wardrobes, the mall is giving away one Grand Prize of a BD15,000 shopping spree with every BD33 spent at the mall. What’s more, shoppers double their chances to win if they shop at the fashion stores! Finally, all shoppers who spend just BD50 throughout December will be able to take home a special keepsake – a limited edition Winter Wonderland snow globe, to bring the magic of winter everywhere it goes.
The winter season also brings sweet treasures and through a partnership with the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel City Centre Bahrain , the mall will be hosting a cookie decorating activity every weekend throughout December. Kempinski will also be baking the longest trail of gingerbread cookies – aiming for 25m of the traditional treat as a charitable fundraising, with all proceeds from cookie sales going to a local charity. Throughout the month, City Centre Bahrain will be reaching out to community schools to invite them to experience the Winter Wonderland village, with some special vouchers and gifts for them to take home.
Finally, social media fans can get into the winter spirit as City Centre Bahrain will be hosting dedicated contests for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram fans, giving away multiple weekly prizes of BD50.
