City Centre Bahrain ‘kicks up its heels’ and raises BD4,200 for breast cancer research
2nd annual walkathon in support of Think Pink Breast Cancer Charity

Wrapping a second year of success, City Centre Bahrain ’s second annual ‘Kick Up Your Heels’ Walkathon raised a total of BD 4,200 for breast cancer awareness. The cheque was formerly handed over by City Centre Bahrain Management to Ms. Julie Sprakel, Founder of Think Pink Breast Cancer Charity. The funds raised were the result of more than 300 passionate individuals in the community who participated in the 3km walk, and raised monies through their own campaigning efforts.
Ann Rayan who raised BD 900 - the most funds for the walkathon, won a night’s stay for two courtesy of Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel City Centre Bahrain , inclusive of breakfast and a single 60-minute spa treatment. Additionally, Beverly West, the walker with the most creative “Think Pink” costume, was awarded a brunch for two at Savour restaurant at Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel City Centre Bahrain .
