City Centre Bahrain ’s ‘Art of Charity’ Raises over BD 1,700 towards Educational Materials for Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind

Over BD 1,700 raised for the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind

 

City Centre Bahrain has completed its ‘Art of Charity’ event to sell City Centre ‘C’ artwork, with over BD 1,700 raised for the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind. Funds will provide children at the Institute with much-needed educational supplies and classroom materials. The artwork was created at a workshop hosted at City Centre Bahrain by famous local artists from the Bahrain Art Society with the help of children from the Bahrain Talented Kid’s Society.

“The ‘Art of Charity’ campaign was a unique initiative to reinforce the mall’s efforts to bring together members of the community for a worthy cause. We are pleased to support the children at the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind, while helping the community to recognize the importance of charitable efforts and the positive impact that they can have on society,” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager, City Centre Bahrain . “We want to thank everyone in the community for their strong show of support.”

“Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind would like to extend its thanks to City Centre Bahrain and members of the community for participating in this unique initiative. This will help provide much-needed classroom and educational materials to children at the Institute, enhancing their learning experience and quality of life,” said AbdulWahidXX, Principle, Saudi-Bahraini Institute of the Blind.

‘C’ canvases were sold pledging the following for the Institute:
• Renovating Classrooms – Proceeds will help renovate two first-grade classrooms with a fresh coat of paint, new educational equipment and books.
• Furnishing a Playroom – Proceeds will help build a playroom for primary school kids and furnish it with toys and special educational equipment.
• Two Digital Hearing Aids – Proceeds go towards two digital hearing aids for a 9-year-old child in need.
• Media Players – Proceeds will purchase three Victor Reader Stream Handled media players to play audiobooks and music for students.
