City Centre Bahrain Promotes Energy Conservation
City Centre Bahrain is participating in Earth Hour on Saturday, March 23rd in order to promote environmental awareness and help in the global effort to conserve energy. Over 6,950 cities and towns and 152 countries and territories take part in Earth Hour each year.
For 60 minutes, from 8:30pm – 9:30pm, all external signage, landscaping and floor lights will be turned off outside of City Centre Bahrain . In addition, 33% of lights inside the mall and office lights will be dimmed, while for safety reasons, car park lights will remain on.
“Earth Hour is a world-wide event to raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation. City Centre Bahrain is pleased to once again be taking part in this important initiative and encourage members of the community to also participate by turning off some lights in their home this Saturday,” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Bahrain .
Earth Hour is being supported by Majid Al Futtaim Properties’ shopping malls across the region including the UAE, Oman and Egypt.
