Residents in the community can celebrate the first snowfall of the season at City Centre Bahrain ’s Winter Wonderland. Bringing an authentic winter experience complete with a life-sized igloo, giant gingerbread house and a host of fuzzy winter characters, City Centre Bahrain ’s winter village will give children and families a unique opportunity to have some frosty fun this season. Winter Wonderland starts November 21^st until December 31^st and will offer shoppers the chance to win one of our sparking diamonds worth BD 5,000 each. 

“Given the huge success of our Winter Wonderland campaign last year, we wanted to bring another season of snow and this year brings more wintery surprises for children and families,” said Mr. Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Bahrain . “We hope to create an immersive feeling of truly being whisked away in a winter fantasy and give residents and visitors in our communities the chance to celebrate the season in a unique and memorable way.”    

During the campaign, City Centre Bahrain ’s Central Galleria will be transformed into a magical winter village, which re-creates the feelings of a crisp wintery day, complete with snow-capped trees. Visitors are invited to walk through the interactive display which will provide unlimited photo opportunities. Children can peer into the life-sized igloo, pose with the giant snowmen and encounter some friendly characters along the way such as friendly polar bears, penguins and seals. Moreover, on weekends, roaming winter mascots will make the experience all the more memorable.   

The Winter Wonderland festival will also feature a giant Gingerbread Chalet hosted by the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel City Centre Bahrain . Located in front of T-Spoon Café, the colourful Gingerbread House will be offering special cookie-decorating workshops every Friday starting November 30th and throughout the month of December between 3:00pm-6:00pm, for a nominal BD 2 entry fee. All funds raised will go towards The Palm Association, a local charity aimed at supporting Bahraini families in need.

Adding a touch of glam to the Winter Wonderland experience, shoppers will have the chance to ‘frost’ themselves this season. With every BD 30 spend in one day at any store at City Centre Bahrain ; shoppers will have the chance to win one of four sparking diamond sets each worth BD 5,000! 

Moreover, to spread even more winter cheer, City Centre Bahrain will be giving away keepsake souvenirs of Winter Wonderland. A limited edition snow globe will be given to shoppers who spend a minimum of BD 50, providing them with a little reminder of the joys that come with a snow-filled experience.

Finally, City Centre Bahrain social media fans will have the opportunity to ring in the winter season with an exclusive Facebook competition. During the Winter Wonderland campaign, two trivia questions will be posted online each week – with answers to be found at the Winter Wonderland display in the Central Galleria.  Five winners will be announced at the end of the campaign, and awarded cash prizes worth BD 50 in Gift Cards for a shopping spree at the mall.
