New car park guidance system available at City Centre Bahrain

Visitors’ experiences enhanced with new car park guidance system and lighting technologies, enabling shoppers to identify free parking spaces and easily locate their vehicles

Majid Al Futtaim—the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa—is making it easier to find parking spaces and locate the vehicle after a visit at City Centre Bahrain, through a new and innovative parking guidance system.
A first of its kind in Bahrain, the new LED lighting system enables arriving guests to identify available parking spaces. Located on the ceiling of the carpark lanes, a green light indicates an available parking space; a blue light indicates a space for the disabled only and a red light means the space is occupied.

Additionally, the new car park guidance system kiosks, located at each mall gates, will enable shoppers to find their vehicles easily after shopping, dining, or a cinema visit. Visitors can enter their car’s plate number on the touchscreen kiosks; click ‘Find’ to identify where their vehicle is.

‘Customer feedback has demonstrated that the parking experience has a direct influence on the overall quality of a shopping mall trip. City Centre Bahrain is piloting new technologies which will significantly improve the convenience and accessibility of our malls; creating great moments, for everyone, everyday,’ said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Bahrain.

Drivers should immediately notice the new system in place when arriving at City Centre Bahrain, as visible lights will enable them to identify the available parking spaces from a distance. The innovative technology behind the new car park guidance system tracks every vehicle by license plate, enabling shoppers to be guided back to their parking spaces from a designated kiosk. The investment follows research and feedback received from shoppers. City Centre Bahrain continuously innovates to enhance visitors’ experiences.
