Florals are no longer synonymous with summer – they can be worn all year round, especially thanks to Dubai’s balmy winter temperatures. From Prada to Preen, flower print was splashed across the catwalks and it is continuing to grow on us. To get the look, try Ted Baker for stunning floral maxi-dresses with slashes of red to tick the lady in red fashion box too.

Top of the blocks

The best way to make your look pop is with a bit of clever colour blocking. Luckily the high street stores offer lots of top choices, so simply pick your favourite colour and off you go. BCBGMAXAZRIA obviously took inspiration from the Milan Fashion Week, making the brand Dubai’s place to go for breezy, asymmetric numbers. Colour blocks look best with a white shirt for the park or the beach, then take them back to black (a la the catwalk) after dark. Bellissimo!

What a furore!

Things are getting hairy this season, with faux fur appearing in every rainbow shade on and off the catwalk. Style steal the look from Milan’s Fashion Week at Bershka. Spotted outside Christopher Kane, stylist and influencer Natasha Goldenberg rocked the trend, teaming it with the check print to maximize her style credentials. The Spring trends to try at home and our insider tricks of the trade you need to know now

The Beehive

Over at the Anna Sui Spring/Summer 2017 show in New York City, the models took to the runway rocking retro beehive bouffants.

The trick to achieving this look at home is all down to backcombing and a holding spray.

• Voluminous beehives work best on day-hold locks as the hair has more texture to it than silky strands, so you can forgo the fresh blow-dry.


• Concentrating on your crown, section hair backwards before taking a comb and brushing upwards towards your scalp - the aim is to create a matted look, which you can then gently smooth over the top with a comb.


• Pull back two front sections with bobby pins and spritz generously with hairspray.

Pro tip: For maximum volume, go easy on the conditioner. Just apply a small amount to the ends before rinsing and avoid the crown altogether.
